Help, what do I wear to a Summer Wedding?
Does the idea of a summer wedding, or in fact being the guest at a wedding any time of the year, fill you with trepidation & fear over what to wear! I’m going to break this down into one simple idea; I’ve said it before but honestly allow it to be a simple extension of how you dress day-to-day! It really is that easy; don’t go & buy something so “un-you”: you could feel self conscious, lack confidence & potentially miss out on enjoying the canopies & bubbles, instead worrying too much about what you are wearing, or worse if it’s too tight on your waist ( never squeeze into something for a wedding). You are there to celebrate & have fun, I have zero clue what anyone wore to my wedding beside those in the main photos, honestly.
The days of wearing an outfit to one wedding then never being able to wear it again in case someone sees you wearing it to another, or you’ve been photographed in it and it’s all over insta, are over ladies, thank goodness! Now, it’s about expressing yourself in a confident & comfortable manner; styling what you choose to wear so that it can be worn multiple times, for multiple occasions (dare I say even to multiple weddings) all whilst thinking about the planet & being more sustainable. Even better have you thought about renting? With so many amazing brands & opportunities out there to do this it’s becoming the norm & super fun - my next blog will be totally focused around rental, so stay tuned for that one coming next week in time for any August / September weddings.
