What I'm Putting In My Summer Holiday Suitcase

Holiday packing: it doesn’t have to be stressful! (although I’m doing it for the first time with two children & that is a whole other level of stress)

I’m very lucky to be heading to Rhodes this summer with the family so I have started packing, and I am trying to make it as easy as possible (for my packing at least) snd wanted to share my tips, and some easy to re-create outfit formulas with you:

As I have written previously my ultimate top tip before packing is to think in terms of outfits, not individual items (no matter how much you love them, always check if they work with at least two other pieces to create whole outfits before making that final suitcase cut). You are looking for fewer, multi-functional, pieces that create multiple outfits to suit all the occasions you are going to come across.

My top 10 holiday packing tips:

  1. Pack in outfits, using careful mix & match mentality

  2. Travel in a trainers so you don’t have to pack such a bulky item

  3. Use your jewellery / accessories to change-up your looks

  4. Balance prints & plains for easier mix-n-match capsule wardrobe

  5. If heels are a non-negotiable, go for a mid-block sandal, but ensure you’ll be wearing them more than once before adding to the suitcase

  6. Use your beach bag as your carry on if it is a structured bag

  7. Go for neutral based items with pops of colour accessories

  8. If you feel uncomfortable, maybe in shorts if you’re me, then ensure you love your outfit to distract from the insecurity & boost your confidence

  9. Try to avoid black swimwear; colour will boost your confidence & looks better on almost everyone, especially when your wearing little or no make up

  10. Don’t forget your SPF
