"Why didn't I do this sooner?"

“Why the hell did it take me so long to call you?? ... Why has it taken me 3 years to do this? (ok covid may have something to do with it but it could be more like 5 years tbh)?)” And “why did I think it was a “silly waste of money when I should be able to sort my clothes out myself right?” Wrong, because I see it day in day out & ladies you are not alone, and what’s wrong with asking for a little help?

Words from a client I spent time with last week as she cathartically threw out 4 bin bags of clothes she no longer wore / fitted into or even liked any more! Clothes from the “old” her, clothes that she might fit back into ‘one day’ or clothes that were holey and bobbly that made her feel just a bit ‘crap’, and no one wants, or deserves, to feel a bit “crap”. Yet here she was standing in an outfit that I’d put together from here own wardrobe which she “loved” and “felt incredible in”, once we could find all the good pieces in amongst everything “suffocating” her.

And this is something I hear ALL THE TIME:

‘Why didn’t I do this sooner?’

It takes, on average, potential clients a year of thinking about “it”, then maybe commenting on several posts that “I wish I could put together looks like you” or “I wish I could wear that”, to finally reaching out to say “I need some help, tell me more!’

And I will be here waiting until that time you are ready to ask for help; ready to boost your confidence & most importantly getting you to where you damn well deserve to be! AND why are you hesitating / putting off something that really could be sorted right now? Don’t hang around in case you miss out of a really amazing opportunity to go for that promotion, go on that date, become the 2023 version of yourself, because by the time you do those opportunities may have gone (harsh but true).

So many of us think that sorting our wardrobe out is:

  • A waste of our time

  • A waste of our money (more so than ever)

  • Utter nonsense, who on earth pays for that right? Especially in a ‘cost of living’ crisis? Wrong!

It’s ironic really when we all have to get dressed everyday, and every day you aren’t getting it sorted you are:

  • Wasting your time

  • Wasting your money

  • Wasting your valuable energy

  • Staying in your “comfort” zone, and do you want to stay there?

You get the idea right?

This particular client was a very successful business owner, with a wardrobe full of great, & not so great, clothes and was absolutely smashing every aspect of her life, yet her clothes & style brought her down time & time again & she’d had enough!

She wanted to:

  • Dress with confidence & for the her “now” approaching her 40’s, successful and with her own sense of style

  • Not reach for the same “go-to” outfit every single day which didn’t excite her or make her feel good

  • Be one of the ‘cool’ mums at drop off, looking like she had some style & outwardly confident

Before you roll your eyes and press stop reading just think “are you stuck?” Do you “want something different”? And what if today you wore that item in your wardrobe that you never wear or worse still “saving for best”, how would it make you feel? Because really that is what matters. When you feel great in your clothes you actually start to embody the qualities of that person you deem “worthy” of wearing those clothes; you become her, you manifest that confidence and you act in a way you want to act!

And, as I’ve seen time & time again, how just a tiny change in your every day - just wearing something you never usually wear that actually makes you feel good - adds up to a massive difference over time.

But you know that right? YOU DO

BUT are you going to continue to roll with it, or decide enough is enough and talk to me ..... I will always be here, even if it is just to have a quick chat to see if what I do will work for you, although deep down I think we both know the answer to that!

And my inbox is always open so talk to me, getting dressed and feel great can be “life-changing” as I’m told time & time again .... Which is why I love my job!
